Taking a Look Back on Student Life
By: Jenny Huynh
In the final weeks of school, I can't help but think about what's to come next. As any student would, I've spent a lot of my time thinking, "When can I get out of here?", but as I look ahead to the next couple of weeks, now as a second semester junior nearing the end of the school year, I had an epiphany. On this day next year, it will be coming near to my own graduation. High school has been a round of twist and turns and each day has given me so many chance to grow into who I will be in the years to come; helping me down a path that may or may not work out in the future.
Looking forward to the final days of this school year, I have developed an appreciation for my time at school; cherishing every moment I get to spend that 55 minute class period with my funior friends and my senior friends who will be graduating in less than 15 days. It's sad to think that I won't be able to see my senior friends at school every day but in teh grand scheme of things, they are moving onto better horizons. For 294 days a year we come to school each day, wishing that we could leave; taking each day for grandted, and forgetting that school was the source that brought us all together in the first place. It is where we met our friends, our enemies, and our loved ones; all people we spend day on day with. Although I am long overdue for a summer break from school, I am ecstatic for the next year and everything senior year has to offer!
