WonderCon: A Month Later
By: Jennellee Samkhem & Sydney Ho
With more than fifty-thousand attendees this year, WonderCon Anaheim has definitely grown from its small roots in 2012. We like to call it “the baby of ComicCon”, since both are under the same brand; though WonderCon feels like home. It is held in Anaheim, after all. From March 23-25, people from across the nation gather to express what they love. Cosplayers, artists, and normal attendees alike are able to meet each other and indulge in their favorite TV shows, books, and movies without hesitation.
Besides attending panels and premiers, spotting our favorite characters was definitely a highlight of the weekend. Cosplayers work for years on their sets of armor, ballgowns, and more to display their hard work and passion. From beautiful Disney princesses to ridiculous variations of Deadpool, there is a cosplay out there for everyone. Here are some cosplayers who stunned the entire con! Even we decided to join in on the cosplaying fiasco!
Although it's been a month, we're still lacking the adrenaline and sheer happiness that WonderCon Anaheim brought. There's nothing quite like being a part of a community that's just as crazy obsessed with your favorite thing as you are. Honestly, we're already anticipating what WonderCon 2019 will bring~
